Carl Orloff Obituary



Carl Montgomery Orloff Carl Montgomery Orloff, age 54, of Culpeper died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at his residence. He was born December 27, 1956 in Glendale, Calif. to the late Carl Robert and Florence Palmer Orloff.

Mr. Orloff was an avid outdoorsman who loved golfing, fishing, bonfires, hiking, canoeing and bowling and took great pleasure in landscaping around his home. He loved and cherished his grandchildren and was a man that just plain enjoyed life.

He is survived by his wife, Lyne Orloff; one son, Corey Orloff and his wife, Kristie of Leesburg, Va.; five sisters, Tina Meriwether and her husband, Joe, Patricia Bayless and her husband, Earl, Meriel Brady and her husband, Don, Maria Ward and her husband, Merrill, Debra Reed and her husband, Freddie, and five brothers, Raymond Orloff and his wife, Susan, James Mendoza and his wife, Michelle, Floyd Mendoza, Cayo Mendoza and Charles Bacon and his wife, Michelle.

Additional survivors include six grandchildren, Brandon C. and Ashley N. Kehrer, both of Greenville, Va., Taylor J., Darrin M., Avery J., and Aiden Orloff, all of Leesburg, Va., twenty two nieces and nephews and twenty great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Janae Orloff-Kehrer.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 1 to 2 p.m. with a service starting at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Va. Pastor Mike Emerson will be officiating the service.

Pallbearers will be Jim Logan, John Logan, Quincy Henderson, Robert O'Brian, Jeffery Jones and Greg Haeussler. An online guestbook and tribute wall is available at www.foundandsons.com

Monty is a dear friend and mentor through the years. We've shared many unforgettable moments and had many laughs. We miss him and will always remember his good humor and tenacity when times were tough.

I was glad that I had the opportunity to meet Mr. and Mrs. Orloff when Mr. Orloff was a patient at the dialysis clinic. Mr. Orloff knew that he was loved by is family. Although he was very ill, I still remember his sense of humor peeking through. He is in a good place today.
