Carlos, Judy & family:

After work on the night of the altercation I drove down Center Street to my house and thought I wonder what happened there? I read the articles in the newspaper and once again thought what a tragedy for such a young boy. Then I found out by you (carlos) that Carlos was your son and he had passed away from the trauma. I too also know the pain of losing a child unexpectedly. My son, 34, died in his sleep on Christmas Eve this year from a medical condition none of us knew he had. There are no words anyone can console you with. It's so very sad and tragic. It will take a long time to accept his death and even longer to move on. You will never forget him,he will always be in your vision and in your heart and he is watching out for his family from above and patiently waiting to see you all again. I am so sorry for the loss of your son.

We were so sorry to hear about Carlos. I only remember him as a little boy hiding underneath the desks when I worked for your mom and dad in Allendale. Life was much less complicated back then.
I know it will be hard, but I also no that that you will all somehow find strength to get thru this tragic time.

My Dear Friend Judy ~
Although we are not in regular contact, you are very very often in my dreams, all of those years we were best friends....surfacing in my sleep. The day before I learned of your tragic loss of Carlos, I had been thinking of you and your boys. I am carrying that image in my heart, hoping in someway, the love of all surrounding you at this time and each moment going forward, brings you moments of peace.
I love you dearly and cannot imagine the grief and sadness this brings to the Thomas and Lopez families ~
With all of my heart ~
