CARRIE BELL SMITH-WILLIAMS 92, of West Palm Beach, passed away on December 8, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born in Pitts (Wilcox County), GA to the late Bascom and Bertha L. Smith. She and her late husband, John Daniel Williams (J.D.) moved to West Palm Beach, FL in 1950. Carrie was a very active member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed. She always had a passion for helping those in need, gardening, cooking, reading(especially the Bible, other inspirational materials), and sewing. Carrie leaves to cherish her memories four daughters: Mrs. Bernice Wooten (Lovey), Riviera Beach, FL, Mrs. Doretha Campbell (John*), Mrs. Gwendolyn Johnson (Rev. Dr. Lenard Johnson), West Palm Beach, FL, Mrs. Julis Barnes (John), Brooklyn, New York; five sons: Johnny L. Williams (Elizabeth*), Louis C. Williams (Elnora), Melvin A. Williams (Maria), Adrian T. Williams (Barbara), West Palm Beach, FL, Rev. Sylvester Williams (Cloie), Valrico, FL; one son, Cornell Williams, preceded her in death. 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great- grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Katie R. Hunt, West Palm Beach, FL; one brother-in-law, Mr. Eugene Powell, Riviera Beach, FL; two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Ethel Williams and Mrs. Mary Williams, Philadelphia, PA. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends. One special friend for over 50 years, Mrs. Cora L. Richardson. Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 10:00 AM - New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 911 9th Street, West Palm Beach, FL, Rev. James Lofton, Jr., Pastor, officiating. The Wake is Friday, December 15, 5-7 p.m. at New Bethel. Arrangements entrusted to STEVENS BROS.
