Charles DYAR Obituary

DYAR, Charles T.

Charles T. Dyar, age 80, of Jupiter passed away Friday, September 12, 2014. Mr. Dyar was a graduate of the first class of the Palm Beach County Police Academy now known as Palm Beach State College. He retired from the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department in 1992 as the Assistant Chief. He retired to Okeechobee for 28 years. A veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force, he was stationed in West Palm Beach at the Air Force Base serving as a Military Policeman. A lifetime member of the Moose Lodge, Charles was instrumental in establishing the Police Benevolent Association in Palm Beach County. Charles was predeceased by his parents, Manley and Ruth Dyar, wife, Joy Dyar, son, Jeff Dyar and sister Marie. Survivors include his daughter, Karen (Joseph) Barlow, Jupiter; son Jim (Susan) Dyar, Palm Beach Gardens; 4 Grandchildren, Adam Barlow, Stephanie Mattox (Scot), Alan Barlow, and Stephen Dyar. RIP Charley,you earned it. So glad I was able to see him a couple of months ago at Atria. One heck of a cop and a greater human being. John Lee and Al Natoli will be happy to see you again. You can now be with your beloved Joy forever. Thanks for some great memories and your friendship!
