Harry was a very loving man, every time I would see him he would always greet me with pure joy he raised a great family and he will always be loved and missed by all who knew him

My first introduction to Harry was when we met at a barbeque beef sandwich sale as part of a band fund raiser. Harry was already the leader of the function and working very hard at making it a success. Little did I know that he would become the father in-law to my daughter.

Later we would enjoy fishing trips together as well as long drives to visit each other at our respective homes. Even if Harry wasn't feeling well enough to go fishing or picnicing with us he would always meet us at the truck when we arrived at his house to hear of our adventures. I am so glad that Harry and Bonnie were able to travel to Chuluota to visit our family recently!

We will miss you Harry!

Slater Family,

My deepest sympathies and prayers goes out to you at this difficult time within your lives. The world has lost a truely great man, but he is no in a better place now. I only meet Mr. Slater a few times but the times I did meet him I learned a few important things from him. The most important thing I learned was how to love your family and friends. I seen that in the way him and Dustin got along and the things he did for Dustin. The second thing I learned was about cars, even though that was like speaking Greek to me, but I paid attention and absorbed his knowledge and wisedom.

Dustin, I am truely sorry for the lost of your father. I know how much he meant to you. And I want you to know that if you need anything I am and always will be here for you. My prayers are with you and your family.

'Dad',

You were such a wonderful man and friend to both myself and especially my husband, Joe. You know he basically 'adopted' you as his Dad after the loss of his own father in 1998. Things have never been the same for Joe since then and I know Dustin will soon feel the aftershocks of what this can do to a son who is so attached to his father. Fortunatly, Dustin has a tight circle of friends that won't allow this to ruin his life, but will help to show him how much growth and knowledge can be obtained from knowing and experiencing life as you, his father did. Do me a favor and look down on Dustin every once in a while and let him know your there! I know that you will meet again! Joe will forever hold on to the memories of your 6 A.M. fishing trips. You didn't have to catch a thing...it didn't matter!

Bonnie,

My thoughts and prayers are most of all with you. I only wish that Joe and I experience even just half the love and devotion you and Charles shared. He was a wonderful man, husband and best friend and he will truly, truly be missed!

Peace to all of the family in this time of sorrow. Don't wollow in sadness, rather rejoice in a better place for such a courageous man!

We Love You All~

Dear Slater family,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of such a wonderful human being. My heart breaks at your loss. Mr. Slater was one of the nicest people that I've ever met. Even after not seeing him for years he still spoke to me as if I was a part of his day to day life or as if it was still 1994 I and I was still a kid he was a band parent to. I can see him in Dustin and the strength of character has added to my family so much by the impact it has made on Dustin as a person. Dustin, you are a wonderful father that I am so proud to say is the daddy of my niece. You gave your dad the greatest gift in the world by taking his example and growing to be such a wonderful husband to Sara and father to Amber. His spirit lives on in you. Bonnie, please accept my sincerest condolences and know that your entire family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Love,

Beverly

When I came into your family 10 years ago you welcomed me with open, loving arms. You accepted me as one of your own, and always made me feel special. I have so many precious memories of you, and I will cherish them forever. I will miss hearing the soft sound of your voice and the wisdom you passed down to every one of us. You are an angel in my eyes and I am so happy to have been blessed with such a caring, kind-hearted dad-in-law. I will miss you so very much, but I know you will always be right there beside us, both in spirit and in memory. I love you.

Love Always,

Your Sara Lee

Dad-

You were the greatest person that I ever knew. You taught me what it meant to be a man. I hope that one day I will become the father that you were to me in my children's eyes. Everything that I know and everything I am today is what you gave me. I hope you know that you were always in my thoughts and that you will always be in my toughts and prayers. I have never forgotten the times we shared together and I never will. You will always be right at my side, of course you always have been. You were always there when I needed you the most. I hope you know that I will always be there to take care of Mom when she needs me the most. I will love you always and forever.

Your loving son,

Dustin
