Clayton Coleman Obituary
She became principal of S. D. Spady Elementary school and presided over the integration of that school in 1970.
Among Dr. Coleman’s many honors was being designated an “Educator of the Century” and having a scholarship named for her.

I was one of children bused from Boca to Spady in the 1970s. I felt safer and more cared for in Spady than in any school I attended in Boca.

Dr. Coleman:
I only found out yesterday. I live in VA now. If I knew sooner I would of been there for your service. You were the very best! I am so thankful to God that you hired me for my first teaching job. I loved working with my Spady family. I pray that you are in eternal peace with God and Jesus. Thank you, Dr. Coleman. I will always remember you.

Dr. Coleman's friends and community will miss her. Her passing grieves me inexpressibly. The life she lived was an epitomy of courage, visions and deep faith-an example worthy of emulation by all who loved and new her.
