Family-Placed Obituary
DAVID JOHN MASTRIANI McKEEHAN "D.J." David John "D.J." Mastriani McKeehan, 22, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, passed away on August 6, 2010, from injuries sustained during an accident while inline skating. David lived his short life to the fullest, loving the outdoors, the excitement and challenge of competitive sports, and being in the circle of his family. He grew up attending Christ Fellowship, Gardens Campus, was homeschooled and later attended Wellington High School. David had the heart of an evangelist, though he struggled with substance abuse in his later teenage years. He had enjoyed almost a year of sobriety, and was full of hope and plans for the future, before his tragic death. David leaves behind a loving family, his mother, Donna Smith Mastriani McKeehan of Loxahatchee, FL; his adoptive father, Robert Neil McKeehan and his stepmother, Ellen Kentner McKeehan of Wellington, FL; his older brother, Michael Anthony Mastriani McKeehan and his wife, Rachel Russell McKeehan; his younger siblings, Matthew Neil McKeehan and Sarah Joy McKeehan; his stepsister, Isobel Aitken; his grandparents, Joyce and John Hietala of Port St. Lucie, FL and Howard Neil and Modean McKeehan of Marble, NC. Extended family members include Dennis and Sharon Smith and their children, Todd and his wife, Darla, Netanya, Jerusha, Christy and Janette of Lincoln, NE; Christopher and Cindy McKeehan and their son, Dane of Schenectady, NY; many aunts, uncles and cousins, two great-grandparents and a half-sister, Katrina Patton. David's birth father, Michael Mastriani, passed away before he was born and now David has gone to join him in heaven. A Celebration of David's life will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at 1:00 PM, at Christ Fellowship's South Campus Chapel, 5312 Northlake Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. I didn't even know about this website or who all these people are. but, I miss you brother.. Their isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you or have you with me. Thanks for protecting me and teaching me how to be a man. You are THE man. Hope you're having fun with schooner, your dad and uncle moose. I know it's been two years soon to be three but I just want to thankyou everyone for supporting me and the family ive gone through a tough time through all of this. The thing I noticed and love about Dave is that he stays the same person with his friends and family, all his friends say he is kind hearted, positive, lives to the fullest and everyone saw that different person inside him. I a so saddened to hear the tragic news about your beloved son, David. My heart goes out to you for your precious loss.

Although difficult, even when under this overwhelming circumstance try to think good things. Hope is all that is left. Hope, will help you to look beyond the grief and enable you to endure the pain. As soon as David inrolled in public school, in middle school, we clicked instantly. we were best friends all threw school and even after high school. we slowly drifted apart but he was a big part of my life even after. I miss him horribly and he will forever live in my heart. God bless him and his family. He is now living forever in the hands of God and he can finally be with his Dad! What a beautiful service. I was very lucky to have had the last few months with D.J at P.F.C. He was an inspiration. I lost my son as well 4 months ago at the age of 5 to a brain anuerism. My thoughts are with you.

Having recently walked through the season of loosing our daughter age 21 to a careless accident the Horn family can surely say we know what you are going through.
