David SMITH Obituary
David Keith Smith departed this earth on February 17, 2014. David was born on April 15, 1963 in West Palm Beach. He will be remembered as an AMAZING father, and friend. David spent his life loving Surfing, He often was quoted as "THE KING OF PUMPHOUSE". He is survived by his Father James D. Smith, Proceeded in death by his Mother Patsy L. Smith (3) children, David Brennen Smith, Nathan Keith Smith and Dylan James Smith, his Brother Blake Smith, many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Sunrise 6:45 am on the beach at Palm Beach Shores Community Center located at 90 Edwards Lane Palm Beach Shores, FL 33404. There will be a Surfers Memorial Paddle out held March 8th at "PUMPHOUSE" details will follow. In lieu of flowers Brennen, Nathan and Dylan ask that a donation be made in his memory to the Surfrider Foundation [email protected] . May he rest in peace.

I've known David since 2nd grade, we would sneak into Blakes room when no one was home and listen to Alice Cooper Billion Dollar Babies... He wasn't always king of the pumphouse, if my memory is correct he broke his ankle one day jumping off the crownest.
His boys are absolutely precious.

David was a great guy. I knew him for 10 years and met him "on the job", and we referred each other to new customers. I was shocked to hear of his passing.
He will be missed.

I met David in Jr High. Always had good conversation and surfed with him up down the beaches. He will be missed and my prayers are with all of you.

I have been exiting my truck at the grocery store and hoping; it'd be kool to see to David here today. Ask him what s happened to the waves, how've you been? We had an epic day one time surfing together on Jup. Island. After, I made him lunch and all he wanted was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. He said he loved peanut butter/jelly sandwiches!I think we were really just stoked from the waves. I have a crystal image of him watching me approach him on the lip of a wave, and hes just smiling and looking dead into my eyes. You could FEEL David smile. Everyone loved him and will miss him greatly when he is thought of. Peace to you David.

I am so saddened to hear this news! David and I dated for a couple of years while in Junior High School. I saw him at our 10 year reunion in 1991. So happy we had a chance to talk and catch up with each other and meet each others children, etc... Praying for you all!
