He passed away a few years ago and I miss him like crazy. I know he would want to be here if he could, but heaven is where he belongs now. You left us far too early before your time, it seems and now you'll never have a chance to fulfill all your dreams.

Devonte, this is my first Thanksgiving without you and it's very difficult. I love you so much baby boy. I am trying to understand why this happened to you but I don't think I ever will. There's no explanation. But we will get justice.You are my heart, my soul, my everything. I would trade anything in this world to have you back. I miss you every second of my life. I am so thankful for you, my son.You are one of the greatest gifts the Lord has given me. I thank you for his life, Lord. Without you, I wouldn't be the strong mother I am today. You may be gone but you will never ever be forgotten. You were my baby, my child, my first born, my everything.

I wish I could see you one more time,
