Dorian KALLEN Obituary

Dorian Kallen, son of Marie-Clotilde (Cloe) Couturier, clinician at The Upledger clinic in Palm Beach Gardens and Kenneth Kallen, surrendered to a long battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy on April 14th at 5am. Diagnosed at age 4, imprisoned in wheelchair at 9, was expected to die in early twenties. He was blessed with an extra 10+ years through love and caring by those close to him. He lived in his own apartment with around the clock assistants. He obtained a college degree from FAU and enjoyed a full life with growing limitations until he could not swallow or eat and his heart grew weak. He is survived by his sister, Kassandre, who was dedicated to helping him and will miss him very much; his unique sense of humor, his optimism and his selfless pursuit of life. He touched many people who will miss Dorian very much. His service dog was renamed "Partridge Dorian" and was hired by Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL as the hospital pet therapy dog.
