DOUGLAS A. CRELLIN Age 88, of Tequesta, FL, formerly of Barrington, RI, passed away quietly August 1, 2007 at St. Elizabeth's Manor in Bristol, RI. He had been living in Florida for 26 years. Beloved husband of Mary Jane Crellin for 33 years. Born in Raleigh, MA, he was the son of the late Edward C. and Rebecca McCloud Crellin. He was previously married to the late Miriam Carew Crellin and the late Mary Sullivan Crellin, the mother of his six children. He was founder and president of Crellin Handling Equipment in East Providence, RI which he operated from 1956 to his retirement in 1981. Crellin Handling Equipment was founded 60 years ago and is still in operation with Mr. Crellin's son, Richard, serving as president. Mr. Crellin served in the Army Air Corp. during WW II. He was an avid golfer and a member of Rhode Island Country Club, Frenchman's Creek and Jonathan's Landing in Jupiter. He is survived by six children, Gregory Crellin on Rehoboth, MA, Beth Claverie of Providence, Douglas Crellin of Rehoboth, Valerie Crellin of Tiverton, RI, Richard Crellin of Little Compton, RI, Dr. Andrew Crellin of Barrington; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews and a sister, Enid Crellin of Needham, MA.
