October 4, 2008

Dear Enid,
We were so shocked and saddened to hear that your Mother had passed away. I will always remember your Mother as she was when we were at MHS when you lived on Farmstead Road. She was extremely elegant, glamorous, and OH so much younger then most other Mothers! Steve and I have precious memories of our lively teenage evenings at the Denholtz' house. We do hope that, with time, your sadness will give way to wonderful, happy memories of your Mother. In the mean time, Steve and I both send our love and deepest sympathy to you, David and the boys .

Dear Ed, Enid and Bobby,
Bob and I wish we could have been with you to bring you solace in your time of healing. We've know your family for almost 40 years now. Elise was one of the most special people we've ever known. To this day, we still have the silver Tiffany spoons that Ed, you and Elise were so very gracious to have sent to our sons upon their births. There will always be an empty spot in our hearts for all of you. Especially you Enid, my dearest friend for so many years. We are thinking of you all with deepest sympathy.

Dear Ed and Enid,
So very sorry to hear of your great loss. Allen and I were so very fond of Elise. Her style and grace shall never be forgotten. Enid, you were a most devoted daughter, and I know that you have lost your most precious best friend. We will be returning from our trip in a week, and will be with you in person at that time to pay our respects personally.
