Eugene PETRAGLIA Obituary
Eugene "Gino" Petraglia, 68, checked out February 7, 2015. Known for his hilarious sense of humor and great stories; he had a big heart and never turned his back on strays-four legged or two. A lover of convertibles, laughter, Butterfingers, family and friends. He hated stupidity, waiting rooms, country music and football players in sissy tight pants. An auto body restorer, damage magically disappeared and cars shined with duct tape, polish and parts of dubious origin. He loved driving fast, John G's, swear words and fixing things with Bactine and bleach. He was a gardener of sorts and loved to pot plants.Survived by 2 parrots, 4 dogs, 5 indoor and 30 feral cats and sisters: Vi Birch, Judy Johnson, Gail Ferrero and Susan Burns. He adored his nieces and nephews and leaves behind an assortment of cars in stages of restoration (or disintegration), 4 tool sheds and a palace that is a hoarder's paradise. Gino wished his motto on all he loved "Drive Fast and Weave", as he would say Rock n Roll. Donations: Peggy Adams Animal Rescue

I am a couple hours late in wishing you a Happy Heavenly Birthday. I thought about you many, many times today. I could hear your voice and hear your laugh in my head. There was no mistaking your voice. It´s still so difficult to believe that you are not on this earth! Hey my brother The Daytona 500 was today and I thought of you and Jan I watched the whole thing til the end! A rookie one for the first time young man I believe in his twenties! He drove a Ford his Austin Cindric the second youngest!!! I liked it my brother and Benita sends her love to you

Gino was one of my best friends in Junior High. We took music back then and the teacher wanted us to dance to some goofy song! She paired Gino and me together and said she would give us an "A" if we would be brave and start, so we did. It was the start of our friendship!

Our sister Judy passed away one month ago today on June 15th she died of lung cancer
It has been terrible Euge
Only ones left is Vi who as you knew was advanced Alzheimers... yet still hanging in
But down to 80lbs if that
So it is Myself and Susie she just had her birthday and I made it special for her
I dont think I told you that I sold the mobile home to Edvins nephew and sister and moved down to live with Benita! It was a great move Euge and I am forever grateful to you for giving me the Mobile home
It was my way of getting out of there! Edvin said a lot has changed!!

I knew Eugene from the time we were 8 years old. Although I had lost contact with him, I did see him at the 40th class reunion with his always smiling face. Too young to die. Very sorry to hear the news. I am sending prayers to the family & all his friends, & Susie, I do remember you, his little sister.

This is probably one of the hardest things I have ever written. I refuse to say Goodbye, we have been in and out of each other's lives for 50 years and it will not stop now, we have at least another 50 years. Gino and I served on the Board of Directors for several years and Meadowbrook Mobile Home Park. He was a wonderful little camper, always made me laugh, Gino was a friend and I have missed him since we left Florida, it would not be the same now without him. He took a new baby ferol cat that I found in my yard that I could not take care of, so I called him and he came to get it, the kitten did not make it but it was not from the lack of love from Gino, he told me he was holding it when it pasted. He had a big heart
