Boca Raton - Eugene Leo Solomon of Boca Raton, FL died at home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, August 12th, 2021. Gene was born on August 20,1937 in Brooklyn, NY, where he met Brenda, who would become his wife, his lifelong sweetheart, and his inspiration. Raised by a single mother, Gene graduated from City College of New York and Brooklyn Law School and had a successful career in mergers and acquisitions. He retired in his late 40's to focus on a passion for research and for the humanities. For many years, he enriched and brought beauty to the lives of the elderly by teaching courses about classical music at complexes throughout South Florida. During retirement, Gene also became a Lifemaster in Bridge and a scholar; he researched and presented on the complexity of the Holocaust and on the often-overlooked truths of American history. He was the author of 11 books. In addition to his wife, Gene is survived by his daughter, Amy, his son-in-law, Jonathan, his son, Andrew, his daughter-in-law, Mary Ann, his daughter, Debra, and eight grandchildren: Arielle, Emily, Jillian, Joshua, Samantha, Alex, Max, and Sarah.
