George- The last time I ran into you, you showed me pics of your beautiful son Nathan. I could see you just light up when you spoke of him. Your love for your son will always be a beautiful memory for me. The way you grabbed life by the horns and just ran with it is an inspiration. You are in a better place, but you will be missed dearly.

I had only known George for such a short period of time and for the times that I talked with him, he had such a great and funny personality. When he had lunch with us at Palm Beach Business Systems Xmas party it was a pleasure and to finally catch up with him as well. May god bless him and his family.

I’ve known & worked with George for the last five years or so. In those five years, I don’t think I can recall more than a handful of occasions where he was anything less than positive & upbeat. Even through these last few months, his faith and attitude have been a lesson for me &, I’m sure, an inspiration for us all.

George always impressed me as someone who did many things that others simply talked about: saving money, staying in shape, eating right, or even just getting out there & taking time to smell the roses. I’m quite sure that If everyone lived their lives with the discipline & ideals George espoused, the world would be a much better place.

He genuinely liked almost everyone he met. He usually knew at least one or two people at just about every customer’s office he frequented, hundreds of them, and would know them on a caring & personal level. It wasn’t uncommon to be somewhere with George & have him ask someone in an office about their kids, how their vacation was, or for them to ask him about Nathan& have George show them a picture on his phone.

One thing I’ll always remember when I think of him is the nickname he had for me. It started out as “jaybird”, but quickly evolved into “bird”. Whenever he’d come into the office, I’d be greeted with one version or the other. I know that whenever someone calls me jaybird, I’ll think of George. I hope it happens often.

I’ve missed George being a part of our daily lives for the past 9 months or so, & I I’ll certainly miss him now that he’s gone.

George-
I am so glad we crossed paths in this short time on earth. I know your in a better place, and but that doesn't always help the hurt we all feel inside. Your commitment to goals and constant positive attitude inspires us all. God has brought home a wonderful musician and a strong warrior. I will never forget you, thank you for being my faithful co-worker,fellow musician and most importantly, friend. Till one day when we meet again, I will miss you dearly.
