Greta HOWARD Obituary

HOWARD, Greta

Our beloved Greta Howard, passed away October 27, 2014 at 9:26pm. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and grew up in Oceanside, Long Island. She taught for 10 years in the Nanuet, N.Y. school system. After moving to Miami in 1972 she returned to school and received a Master's Degree and taught for 16 years at Florida International University. While teaching at the University she served as Chairperson, Florida Power and Light Advisory Board; Member of Better Business of South Florida Board; and served on the Management and Consumer Affairs Advisory Committee. In 1993 Greta received the Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award. After retirement in 1995 she moved to Monarch Country Club, Palm City and was involved with the 4C's charity for many years. Survivors include her husband of 57 years Albert; three children, Laura and husband Thomas Marcacci; Gregory and wife Barbara; Albert IV and wife Mirtha; four grandchildren, Robert, Daniel, Albert V and Arianne. Celebration of life services will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, November 22nd.
