From the sixth grade Bart lived six houses to the east of me and throughout junior high and high school we often studied together, I walking to his house and then home in the dark.
We had alot of fun studying. Bart's natural intellegence was his greatest asset and we had many good talks through the years. Bart's life was not easy as he had mental turmoils like most of us but his ability to intellectualize his position in life gave him the freedom to express his bright, outgoing personality. I will remember him most for his intelligence and cling to the hope of seeing him again sometime, someplace, somewhere.

We were so sorry to hear of Bart's passing. He was a wonderful man, so kind and funny. I enjoyed singing with him in the choir at St. Rita. He was always the "life" of the choir! You are in our thoughts and prayers.
God Bless,

I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to Janis, Brook, Beth, Jenny & Suzanne, and all the rest of the family, as well as, of course, Bart's many friends. I have so many happy memories of Bart - from all the fun we had singing, dancing and laughing under Craig Munk's direction in East Noble Theater, to the fabulous paties he used to give at his parent's gracious home on Little Long Lake, to the jolly visits we had when he came for dinner on his trips up to Rockville to work at Minibar. His four beautiful daughters were the topic of many of our conversations - he was so proud of all of you! Bart's life was extremely full (which made for some great stories), but he always had time for his family and friends. He really did live life to the fullest, and he ALWAYS found something to laugh about. He was brave, upbeat, and always loyal to his family and friends. He will always be an inspiration to me, to live more, and laugh more! We will miss him so much.

To all who Bart touched please realize thru your sadness and sense of loss that Bart will always be remembered by his high school friends as a generous caring human. He brought joy and laughter to every and all occasions. What a tribute that is, how rare is it we ever encounter such a constant?
Please know Bart's faith has moved him to a better place, YOUR faith will eventually allow you to see this. Pray for his soul and realize he is now watching directly over you, and you will never be alone.

I remember Bart from his days at Sylvan lake when he lived with his friends on Lion's Drive. There was a party almost every day, but Bart was always a nice guy with an easygoing attitude. It's a shame he died so young; my deepest sympathy to his family.
