Irving KLEINMAN Obituary
Irving Kleinman, 87, passed away on December 16 at his home in Boynton Beach, FL. Born in New York City, Irving graduated from the prestigious Bronx High School of Science and received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree in 1949 from the City College of New York. In 1950, he married the former Gloria Poseman, who predeceased him, and had two children, Larry (Sally) and Roni (Dan). Irving was a Professional Engineer, and the founder of Irving Kleinman and Associates, a consulting engineering firm. He held numerous leadership positions in engineering societies and served his community as an active member of his synagogue, and member and later President of the Plainedge, NY Board of Education. He and Gloria moved to Florida, where he enjoyed bridge, tennis, golf and traveling the world with friends. Irving was a devoted grandfather, never tiring of bragging about the accomplishments of his grandchildren, Carlie, Rebecca, and Jason. He is also survived by his sister, Bernice Cherson. Contributions in his memory may be made to the City College of New York.
