James Conto Obituary


Family-Placed Funeral Notice

JAMES A. CONTO Age 50, of Charlotte, NC died June 17, 2006 after a long struggle with brain cancer. His mother, sister and ex-wife were at his side. Jim was a 1973 graduate of Sheboygan North High School. He also received his BBA from The University of Wisconsin – Madison and his MBA from the Carlson School of Business at The University of Minnesota – Minneapolis. Jim was a certified public accountant (CPA). Jim is survived by his daughter, Kylie Conto, 13, of Charlotte, NC, his ex-wife and best friend, Catherine Conto of Charlotte, NC, his mother, Mrs. Beryl T. Conto of Sheboygan, WI, his sister, Paula Stoppler of Longview, WA, his brother, Steven Conto of Menasha, WI. Other close family members include aunts Georgia Ryan and Beverly Borgardt of Sheboygan, niece Sara Hathaway of Ellis Grove, IL, and nephews Paul Conto of Great Lakes, IL and Sean Conto of Seattle, WA. For many years, Jim was senior vice president, officer and director of United Health Group based in Minneapolis. Since retiring, he has traveled the world and been a student of philosophy, language, history, religion, art and music. Jim leaves many friends and co-workers in Sheboygan, WI, Minneapolis, MN, Boca Raton, FL and Charlotte. He will be greatly missed by all.
