JOAN MARIE McMANUS Joan Marie McManus, 70 years old, of Palm Beach, FL, died peacefully on Friday, December 3, 2010. Formerly of Port Jefferson, Long Island, she was a resident of Palm Beach for over ten years. Joan was very active in Town of Palm Beach politics, having served on the Architectural Review Board and President of the South Palm Beach Preservation, Inc. She was preceded in death by her mother, Henrietta de Marinis in 1999. Mrs. McManus is survived by a son, David McManus and his wife Dorine; and two beloved grandchildren, Ryan and Casey all of Northport, NY; her father, Victor de Marinis of Palm Beach, FL; a brother, Victor A. de Marinis and his companion Robert Stiber also of Palm Beach, FL; and her former husband, Edward McManus of Fort Myers, FL. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 1201 South Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33401 with Fr. Aidan M. Lacy, officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5:00 PM until the time of Service.
