John Cipriano Obituary

Family-Placed Obituary

JOHN B. CIPRIANO John B. Cipriano died peacefully at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the age of 79. John had an enthusiasm and energy about him and was known for his crystal blue eyes, sparkling smile, exuberant wit, charm and generosity. John was born in Waterbury, CT on January 1, 1931 and was one of nine children of the late Michael and Julia (Tata) Cipriano. He proudly served in The United States Marine Corps and was a born entrepreneur. In Connecticut, John founded Clearwater Pools, which grew to be the largest pool company in the northeast. He followed his dream, selling the company and moving to Boca Raton where he was going to retire. Lounging, however, was never his style so he became a real estate broker. He then acquired Dolan Real Estate Company and built it into the third largest in Boca Raton at that time. John also loved to garden and had a passion for politics. His first wife, Helen passed away in 1989. John is survived by his second wife, Jean; his only child, Carla; son-in-law, Brian; his two grandchildren, Julian and Lauren and his brother, George E. Cipriano; as well as step-children and grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Murphy and Paige and Mr. and Mrs. Kirby Howell and sons, Gavin and Kylan. A memorial service was held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Deerfield Beach on March 26, 2010. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Ambrose Children's Christmas Fund, which John generously supported. For information, please call (954) 427-2225.
