John was the only person with a more sinister laugh than me! What a great person.

John was a real nice guy. I will always remember him when he would come into the Beverly Sweet Shoppe on the corner of Main St and E Milton Ave. I would always greet him as "Counselor". He was a down to earth person who would sit at the soda counter and talk with Harold and I about all types of things. Every one knew the "Counselor" in Rahway and respected him. I fondly look back on those "Good Old Days". My sincere condolences to John's family. It was a my pleasure to know him.

I was asked to tell John Sr. a slightly "off color" joke at a birthday party. I was hesitant as John was always funny but very refined in his own way. Anyhow, I told the joke and put him into shock after getting his tie and dinner jacket all wet. His reaction was priceless and full of laughter after the initial shock.
Bless his soul.
