Joran FROGNER Obituary

FROGNER, Joran Ann
Joran Ann Frogner, of Lake Worth, FL, whose brave fight has been chronicled on Facebook and on HopeForJoran.org, went to be with The Lord on July 9, 2015. Joran is survived by her mother Katheryn Walker (Terry) and father Jim Frogner (Ellen); siblings Lindsay and Meredith Walker and Sara and Jimmy Frogner; and an extensive group of loving family and friends who have supported Joran throughout her recovery. An Atlantic High School graduate and Palm Beach State College student, Joran loved her cat, children and working as an afterschool teacher at Hagen Road Elementary School. While her life was forever changed on March 18, 2010, when she was in a horrific car accident that left her with a traumatic brain injury and unable to care for herself or communicate, she was learning to talk and walk with help from her therapists and her mother and pool therapy in the family pool which she loved. Joran and her mother had a strong bond and friendship and she was an incredible young woman and had an amazing sense of humor and was happy and smiling in spite of her disabilities. It is by the grace of God and a testament to her strength and faith that she was able to find peace and joy on a daily basis while being cared for by her mother (Katheryn), step-father (Terry) and sister (Lindsay) at home in Lake Worth for more than five years until The Lord called her home on Thursday. She was such a strong woman and an inspiration to all who knew her and she will be missed by all who loved her, including her cat (Zoe) who feels lost without her. Her memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday August 1st at Faith United Methodist Church, 6340 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33437. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the State of Florida Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program, ATTN: Gerald Jackson, 4052 Bald Cypress Way, Bin C-25, Tallahassee, FL 32399.

Your family loves and misses you very much. We miss your beautiful smile and ability to laugh in the midst of the worst life situation. Jordan had the most amazing fighting spirt and love for Jesus and her family who took care of her.

Dear Katheryn, Terry and Lindsay,
I am so sorry for your incredible loss. Joran's recovery was a miracle and a joy to behold. God has called Joran home to be safe in His loving arms, and your arms are empty...I pray that you will be comforted in knowing that Joran is running with her Father God in Fields of Grace. You took such good care of her, in spite of all the obstacles, and it was a privilege to witness how much joy Joran had in spite of her challenges. You were truly the hands and feet of Jesus, and I pray that you will feel His loving arms comforting you now.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
-Psalm 147:3
