1982, I met Joe at VSU, We quickly became Boyfriend and Girlfriend...I was from Jacksonville..So Many wonderful times, he truly was everything the Obituary says about him...Even at a very young age...we were together for 2+ years..Prayers to his children, Family and friends..Only the good go young..But he's of course in a better Place...This we all know.

I want to extend my deepest sympathies to all of Joe's family.
He was always one of the most positive people I ever met and that smile was infectious for sure.
God Bless you all.

We were so sad to her the news about Joe. We raised our kids with the Ferguson's on Summerwood Drive where Joe always came to the block parties with jokes, laughter and a beautiful smile! Joe shared a bond with the neighborhood dads with pranks, fireworks and Miami Dolphins football. He was a great sport! We will miss him terribly.

Sad to hear. In the short time I have known him, his constant smile and upbeat attitude, even in the face of his illness, had a very positive impact on me, and, others.

I'm so saddened by this news. Joe was such a wonderful, fun loving friend to everyone. He was always happy and very quick witted. He had a great outlook on life. I last saw him in Key Largo several years ago and he was telling me about his children. He was so proud of them and loved being a father. May God wrap His loving arms around Joe's family and comfort them with His love and grace until they are all reunited in His heavenly kingdom.

I was always happy to see Joe at the Jupiter Inlet for fishing. We shared many fun days there. He was easy going with a great sense of humor. I enjoyed his company. I will miss him.
