Family-Placed Obituary

JOSEPH FRANKLIN 'Papa Joe' Joseph 'Papa Joe' Franklin, 71, of North Palm Beach, FL. Joe was born on January 9, 1937 to John and Constance (Cino) Franklin. He attended school in Waterbury, CT and served in the US Navy Seebee Division. He was employed for 41 years with Pratt and Whitney (UTC) as a Weld Tech, during which he received numerous achievement awards for his conscientious and dedicated service to his job. Besides spending time with his family, all of whom he loved with his big heart and was deeply loved in return, Joe enjoyed fishing, diving and going out on his boat. He was a member of St. Claire's Church, past Lector for the Knights of Columbus, member UTC Retiree Club and member of Moose Lodge of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 50 years, Joan; son, Mike Franklin of Boynton Beach, FL; daughter, Val Smith of North Palm Beach, FL; granddaughters: Crystal Greatorex of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Julie Greatorex of North Palm Beach, FL; brother, Jack Frangiamone of Jupiter; sisters: Maryann Mandzik of Plymouth, CT, Rosalyn (David) Campbell of Watertown, CT, Aunt Rose Pratt of Tequesta, FL, Aunt Grace (Milton) Leach of Milford, CT. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a bazillion friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday April 16 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial will be spoken Thursday 10 am at St. Claire's Catholic Church in North Palm Beach with Interment to follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in West Palm Beach. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hospice of Palm Beach County 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407. IM sorry for your loss!.
JOE WAS a wonderful guy!.
i remember one time i asked him for some help with my car.
joe stopped by on his way home from mass. joe fixed the problem!.
that was just the kind of guy joe was
caring!.
ill miss joe!.
i had tears in my eyes when i heard this sad news at church last sunday.
joe helped us out ushering at times.
my prayers are with joe's family.
i know JOE is in a better place now.
I was very sad to read about his death in today paper!.

Joe was a well respected man and really good welder, he always made me feel welcomed when I first came in the group in 1979 he will be missed; and he was good man.
I am a better person to have known him and I appriciated all he did for me. Thank you, and I am sorry for your loss.
