Kathleen Carruth Obituary

KATHLEEN SUE (BUNCH) CARR UTH Born March 27, 1947 in Escondido, California. She was born the middle child and only girl of Robert and Clara Bunch. She has an older brother Robert and younger brother Kenneth. She moved to Van nuys, California at about the age of 3 and resided in this same home for 56 years. She is survived by her 3 beloved children, Janelle Misini, Kristin Carruth, Kenny Robert Carruth; 7 adored granchildren, Johnny, Leka, David, Mounga, Jessica, Sunu, Sam, Jr.; and 1 adorable great-grandson, Kuita Misini. Employed by the State Senate for 19 years. She began her career with Senator David Roberti, continuing with Senator Herschel Rosenthal, and most recently, Senator Richard Alarcon. During her children's early years, she was the quintessential "PTA mom" - volunteering thousands of hours at the children's school; she was PTA president, Girl Scout leader; "Team Mom" for the hockey club. Most recently, "Team Mom" for the granchildren's softball teams. Kathleen had many roles in life - mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, co-worker. Of all these roles, she valued being a mother and grandmother above all. As a friend - she was the best. She could laugh with you - but not at you; she cried when you cried; she loved you when you were unlovable; she hugged you when you were un-huggable; she cheered you when the world boo's you; she multiplied you joy and divided your sorrow. She was everything a friend should be - she could keep your darkest secrets. She always had a kind word for everyone. She loved everyone.
