Linda De Niro Obituary

died peacefully in New York on February 28, 2020 surrounded by family. She was 67.
Born a free spirit in 1952 to Jack and Rosemary De Niro, she was raised in Syracuse, NY. After high school she moved to Forest Hills, NY where she married and began her family. Years later she relocated to Delray Beach and her final 10 years were spent in New York.
An inspiration and a teacher to many, her foremost passion and profession was interior design. She also worked as a TWA flight attendant, an actress, a hand model and held a brief stint as Girl Scout troop leader (mostly for the outfit).
Linda loved life; she grooved through the days of disco at Studio 54, built a strong and loving family, learned to fly an airplane (then jumped out of one at 50), trekked El Camino de Santiago and elegantly fought her battle with cancer.
She was a true force of nature who often reminded us that "life is not a dress rehearsal."
Linda is survived by her beloved children Lauren, Tyler and his wife Shana, honorary son Kempes, former husband Dennis, sisters Jean and Dana, and much-loved aunt, cousins and nieces.

I met Linda through my affiliation with her father Jack. I had restored his aircraft sometime early 2000 and met Linda when I delivered it upon completion to Del Ray Beach. Linda and I immediately hit it off and laughed our self silly for the three days I spent in Del Ray Beach. We became instant friends and stayed in touch over the next 20 years. She helped with the design of the interior on my home in Los Angeles and we would frequently banter back and forth on Facebook. I miss those times very much now. May God bless her and keep her. My hope is in the resurrection and that someday we will all meet in a better place.

My heart truly goes out to her children Tyler and Lauren.

I met Linda only once. We met on the train ride from DC to FL in June 2019. She told me of her battle and how she wanted to be closer to her children. She left such a lasting impression on me for the love she expressed for her children. I was riding down to FL with my 7 yr old son and she happened to sit with us for dinner and breakfast. She told me short stories of her life. She told me how she would have date nights with Tyler and how that was how she showed him how to be a gentleman. She asked my son if he would like to do “date nights” with me. I was so very impressed with that idea that I had to start that tradition with my son as well. She showed me pictures of Tyler and Shana’s wedding, which was absolutely beautiful! She also showed me pictures of her stunning daughter, Lauren.
I did not know Linda well or long, but she definitely was a genuine soul that is not easily forgotten.

Rest in peace dear Linda. You were loved
by our family. So glad to know you, Dennis and
and Tyler when he and Jason were little and to hear of your baby Lauren, your life and more recent battles through France. Was sad for your health struggles. Know that your friendship meant so much to my little sis. I am grateful you stepped in, in ways I failed.
Travel well aamong the angels and come visit soon. I can use some heavenly intervention and please look in on my dear little Pinkie. Make sure she is safe and ok for me.

My heart goes out to your whole family. A very talented, special and dear person gone too soon. Here for anything you need. Lifting each of you up in prayer.

Dear Family of Linda,

Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss of Linda. We were neighbors in Watchung, my family property next to hers. We had so much fun and laughed constantly. She will always be remembered for that wide beautiful smile.

I am thankful I knew and loved Linda especially when we thought we were so smart and so with it when we were young, frisky teens.

SHe will be deeply missed and remembered for her kind heart.
