Lucille POLLIFRONE Obituary
Lucille "Lou" Pollifrone passed away on July 2, 2016, at the age of 94. A New Jersey transplant, Lou and her family moved to Delray in 1961 where she became known as "ma" to all who crossed her path. Described by many as a firecracker she was able to overcome many obstacles in her time and always had a story to tell. As a full blooded Italian, Lou's cooking was legendary and no matter how hard anybody tried it could never be matched. Joyful and outgoing Lou always enjoyed being with people and she loved a good party but she was ultimately the happiest when she was surrounded by her kids. As the matriarch of her family Lou leaves behind her 5 children: Sally (Brian) Brantley of Kissimmee, FL, Sal (Jennifer) Pollifrone of Boynton Beach, Terri (Larry) Schroeder of Delray Beach, Frank (Helen) Pollifrone of Waynesville, NC, and Nick (Lisa) Pollifrone of Boynton Beach, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Ave. (N. Federal Hwy.) Delray Beach. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 9, 2016 10:00AM at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 840 George Bush Blvd., Delray Beach. Burial will follow at the Delray Beach Cemetery. Hi my name is Marc masella I am the grandson of Jessie masella my grandmother and Lou have been friends for 30 years when l hear Lou passed away I cry so much because Lou was like a second grandmother I know my grandmother and lou are talking in heaven God bless you and your family God bless

Lou was one of a kind. Loved her spirit and outgoing personality. She will be greatly missed. My love and condolences to the Pollifrone family.

Dear Sal and family: I was just thinking of Mrs. Pollifrone when I was making spaghetti; how she taught me some secret tips from her Italian heritage. I enjoyed the time I lived next door to her. She was so very sweet and kind. My prayers remain with all of you. Cindy Fort

So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She may have been a tiny women but she had a way about here. When she spoke you listened. I have some fond memories of her and the family.
