At Jim and Gail's wedding rehearsal dinner there were oysters on the menu. Grandma Grace commented to Ed that the oysters were very good. He said , "Yes they are but they are nothing like the oysters we have in Colorado." She replied "I didn't know they had oysters in Colorado." And after a pause in the conversation, she had an ah-ha moment and she said "OH, I've heard of them before!" and she and Ed had a good laugh.

Only just heard the sad news. She made such a difference to so many and all of Manhasset was proud of her! On behalf of all Daileys' and Ridders', please accept our condolences and know she will be in our prayers always; the CYO dinners will never be the same.
"If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch";
She made this world a better place and know she will do the same for Heaven.

I will always remember my visits with Mrs. Grace while serving as President of the College of Mount Saint Vincent. She shared stories of her family, stories about Cardinal Suenens, and stories of her faith. I particularly remember the small pocket-sized book she always kept with her. The classic "Self-Abandonment". Gracious with her time, she gave me a copy of the small book and a video on Cardinal Suenens. I cherish them both as I cherish my memories of her. My love and prayers are with you, Peter, and all of the Grace family.
