Marianne Downey Larson
West Palm Beach - Marianne Downey Larson, 73, died July 23rd 2021 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Marianne was born on February 28th 1948 in West Palm Beach to Judge James Downey and Anna McNicholas. She graduated from Cardinal Newman and attended Barry University, graduating from the school of nursing in 1970. Marianne began a life long career of caring for others at St. Mary's Hospital, specializing in neonatology until 2017 when she retired.
Marianne married David Larson in Palm Beach and they had two children, Sarah Shean a local elementary school teacher, and James Larson who holds the position of Intellectual Resources Manager in the Palm Beach County Library System.
Marianne is survived by her siblings James Downey, (Elizabeth), Jean Strother, and Michael Downey, (Cathy), her beloved grandchildren Aidan, Shannon, and Adalynn Shean, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Quattlebaum at 5411 Okeechobee Blvd on Friday July 30th from 5pm to 8pm. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Juliana's Catholic Church in West Palm Beach on Saturday, July 31st at 2pm
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.

I miss 6am breakfasts in the nurses' lounge with Marianne. Much admiration to her for being a founder of St Mary's NICU and sticking with it for a lifetime.
My heart goes out to her son, daughter and grandchildren.
