HILLERT, Mary Margaret "Maureen" (née Callahan)
Maureen, born July 7, 1946, passed away peacefully at home in Atlantis on January 7, 2016, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her brother, Daniel Callahan and his wife Nancy, two nieces, Kerry and Jaime Callahan and her Goddaughter, Alex Rousseau. For the last six months of her life, her brother Dan was an amazing caregiver. Maureen was very proud of her Irish heritage and leaves a great deal of family members and friends in New Jersey. She spent many summers on Long Beach Island with them. Maureen was a diversified business woman including past president of the Boynton Beach Ocean Ridge Board of Realtors and helped institute the merger of the small local boards into its current existence as the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches. She later went on to become Executive Director of GKC International with Gary Hillert, former husband and continued business partner and close friend. Her family and friends were the light of her life. She was one of the most loving, charitable, faithful, generous, compassionate and reliable people. To be a part of her life was truly a blessing. She will now be the bright light and guardian angel to all that loved her. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 16, 10:00AM at St Mark Catholic Church, 643 St Mark Place, Boynton Beach, FL 33435. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Maureen's honor.
