I had the absolute pleasure to work with Mike at WVEC-TV. Tremendous sense of life, laughter and friendship. Always cherished my days working there with him and cherished his friendship even more. I was stunned by his passing and deeply saddened. I will always recall his laughter and jokes. He touched many lives and I'm fortunate to have been one of those.

My name is Michael Goodstein, and Michael was my friend.

To all of you who share in the loss of our beloved friend, family member, and loved one, you are not alone.

My best wishes are simply for him to rest in peace. That God has a plan for us all, and Michael is in a better place. For me, this place will never be the same without him.

There is no measure to how much I am going to miss my old friend, my brother. We all will, each in our own way. He would tell us something like "don't worry, its all going to be OK" I love him so much, I always have and will.

For any of you who would like to reach out, my number is 561 635 1173

I'm shocked and saddened learning of our loss. My deepest heart felt sympathy and condolences to the Fabrizio family. I was calling Mike knowing he would be watching his favorite show of the year... the Puppy Bowl. I am both saddened and happy that on one of his favorite days of the year I learned heaven has gained an angel while I have lost a friend. Rest in peace Mike.

I sat next to Mike for a couple of years when he was the weekend sports anchor for WVEC-TV, the ABC affiliate in Norfolk, Va. he knew his sports backwards and forwards, always had a smile on his face and a great quip at the ready! As weekend news anchor for six years I sat next to some great guys, but Mike holds a special place in my heart. The world will not be the same without him in it.

Breeze,

You will be missed. You were a dear friend for 29 years. You always made me laugh and we sure did have some great times together. I have nothing but great memories of you and I in Tallahassee (as I am falling off a pipe into the river you didn't care about my safety, you just screamed "throw me the beer"!), St George's Island (where two young ladies gave us the nicknames Petey and Smooth) at my wedding (beer and brats with Les!) and my visits to West Palm Beach (Orange Bowls and nativity scene camels). You lived a very full life, I am glad you are no longer in pain.

Rest in Peace Smooth
I will think of you often... and be smiling every time I do!

Your friend Petey
