I was a friend of Nancy's while in high school, and spent a lot of time at their house in Boca. I was always so impressed with their family, and remember the intellectual level of discussion at the dinner table was a lot higher than at my home. My thoughts go out to your family on your loss.

I grew up next door to the Sears family and have fond memories, most of which were of Michael as a crew member of "Gusto!" in sailing races. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I came to know Michael for <7 yrs while working at his "real" love, Barnett Bank. A time came when we watched a WWII battleship of unknown name under tow to be dismantled. He had a tear in his eyes because, as he said, "another grand old lady" fallen. Both she and Mike have found peace in their strength and grace.
