Family-Placed Funeral Notice

MORRIS B. FALK Morris Falk passed away on January 2, 2007 in Boca Raton, FL. He was born in New York, NY on March 31, 1914. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Fannie; his grateful children, Gary Falk and Janet McElwancy and son-in-law Steven McElwancy; devoted grandchildren, Sean McElwancy, Elizabeth Falk, and Andrew Falk; and devoted brother and life long friend, George Falk and his sister-in-law Gloria Falk. A memorial service will be held at the Levitt Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 7500 N. State Road 7, Coconut Creek, FL at 2 p.m. on January 3. There will also be a service in Adelphi, Maryland where Mr. Falk will be interred near where he lived for over 40 years. Mr. and Mrs. Falk have continued to maintain a residence in District Heights, MD since moving to Boca Raton in 1987. Mr. Falk lived a full life of service and contribution to his family, community and profession. After helping to support his extended family as an electrician, he spent 35 years in government service working on research projects for the Army, Navy, Bureau of Standards, and NASA. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for over 65 years. Throughout his government service he was also a part owner of a hardware store and found time to serve as executive in two community associations and as City Councilman in District Heights. Since retiring to Florida he has been active as member and officer of various clubs in the Whisper Walk Community, an avid emailer to his many friends and extended family, and a loving source of support and inspiration to his family. I worked with a Morris B. Falk at DeLeuw Cather in DC on the DC Metro project in 1980s. We were in same System Safety group. Good fellow.
