RAPHAEL KOSAKOFF 82, of Lenox, MA and Boynton Beach, FL on September 14. He was the son of Reuven Kosakoff, a noted Jewish Liturgical Composer. He was the Principal of Birch School in Merrick, NY for 27 years and assistant director of Bronx House Camps in Copake, NY for 15 years. Beloved husband of Esther for 55 years. Devoted father of Sharon (Mike), Wendy (David), and David (Karen). Loving grandfather of Danny, Katy, Josh, Taylor, Adam, Sam and Alexandra. He also leaves behind his twin brother Gabriel (Carol). I got to know Ray well while I was President of the PTA of Birch School. He was kind and concerned about the students, fair and helpful to the parents and very supportive of his staff. He is the reason I am a teacher today. He set the bar high and I've yet to find an administrator to fill his shoes.
My sincerest condolences to the family. He was a very special man.

I have warm and beautiful memories of Ray and his family from my years at Bronx House (67-69). He was a gentleman, a real "mensch". I send my deepest condolences to the family in this time of loss and sadness.
