Lorcán O'Flannery
June 8, 2011
It was my great pleasure and privilege to help Bob trace his Flannery roots in Ballaghaderreen over the last few years. As a correspondent (and I'm looking back at nearly 800 emails from him over the last 12 years) he had a wonderful way with words: a pithy dry humour and wordly-wise wit that deftly hit the target with great style and humour. An email from "Florida Bob", as he was affectionately known, was always a treat. I'll miss him.
