HUGHES, Robert "Bob" E.

Robert "Bob" E. Hughes, age 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Ruth M. Hughes for 61 years; loving father to his four children Scott Hughes (Rita Sutton), Sandi Fisher (Steve Fisher), Sheri Carter (Kevin P. Carter), Staci Hughes (Dean L. Willbur, Jr.); grandfather "POP" to Chad Fisher, Austin Longwell, Tyler Longwell, Lexis Fisher and Troy Dominguez; step grandfather to Jeff Fisher (Kathy), Jessica McNally, Jenny Carter, Jacque Carter, Katy Willbur and step great-grandfather to Kierstyn Fisher. Karen Tesauro as #4. Prior to moving to Florida, Bob and his beloved wife Ruth owned and operated The Hughes Town Hall, Prairie Moon Tavern and Henny Penny Chicken in Rockford and Loves Park, Illinois. From 1973-1993 Bob and Ruth owned Ralph's Stand Up Bar and made it a local landmark. He enjoyed many activities including fishing, boating, motorcycling riding, RVing and NASCAR. Bob will always be remembered for his gift of gab and magnetic personality. He will be missed dearly by his friends both near and far as well as all of the NASCAR infields. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center Street, Jupiter, FL at 11:00 AM with a tribute at 1:00 PM. Sorry for your loss. I have fond memories growing up next door to Grandma Dunnigan and playing on Claude's 3 wheel motorcycle. Mom would drive her to the Town Hall to work in the kitchen. Bobby was always a happy, friendly person. I thought of him often.
