The International Trustee of the Women's Wing of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) Movement, Rona offered practical tools, wisdom, and support to millions of vulnerable women and children countries worldwide, including Canada, South Africa, Uganda, Lebanon and Italy. I met Rona when I learned TM in Bethesda January 2013 when she founded the TM Womens Center. I was a weekly volunteer in the office and to avoid the parking hassell she had me park at her home "The Peace Palace" across the street. It was just one the lovely gestures she offered without a second thought and it was a glimpse into her large giving heart. I witnessed Rona embrace women that visited the Womens Center with open arms and she embraced everyone she met there and made them feel welcomed. The last time I saw Rona was during the Fall Celebration at the Bethesda TM Center October 2018. I wanted to get a moment with her before we both left but their were so many trying to do the same thing that I missed the opportunity. I was shocked and very sad when I heard of her passing and also a little angry becasue she is such a positive force for women and children and she had so much more to do in her life. Thank you Rona for welcoming me into the TM family and for your genunie kindness. Jai Guru Dev.

Rona epitomized the humility and generosity of spirit that comes with greatness. She embodied the proverbial "full mango tree that bows down." I cherish a memory of a small meeting in her lovely home to discuss ideas for the TM for Women's organization. After preparing and graciously serving an extraordinarily creative gourmet lunch, she then asked for our ideas and listened so closely with interest, respect, enthusiasm.

I saw her in action that day, moving from teaching a class of girls via skype overseas, to communicating with associates of the Aspen Brain Institute, and many other projects. I was deeply impressed with the extent of her brilliant and tireless work.

Rona invited me to write for the TM Women's blog and was always so encouraging and respectful. She offered her suggestions with such humble support. She herself was a brilliant and insightful writer, as evident from her contributions to Huffpost.

Rona was one of the most profound and practical thinkers on the planet. And she always sparkled with merriment and laughter, like a thousand tiny silver bells. Beautiful, brilliant, kind- hearted, expansive in spirit and mind. I will miss her tremendously, but will do my best to do justice to help with the causes she held so dear.

May our connection and communion with her spirit continue to deepen evermore.

Much love,
Cynthia (Cindy) E. Johnson

It's been many, many years since I had last seen Rona. I am not sure you even remember me. It's Melody, who grew up in St.Laurent and went to Gardenview School, Sir Winston Churchill and finally St, George's school....along with Wendy Barnstone.

Rona was always a special, joyous and pensive girl. She had always been authentic, Laurie, you introduced me to TM when I was 14. Mr. Sluser, I will never forget the Sunday morning bagels and lox you brought for us girls to feast on after a sleepover. You all had beautiful smiles and such love in the house.

I am so proud and grateful that my friend, Rona, grew into this awesome woman, doing mitzvot around the world.

May she continue to fill your heart and we will elevate her soul to the highest by following her example.
