RONALD J. MARTIN Ron passed away at his home in Palm Beach Gardens on December 31, 2011. Ron was born on January 31, 1948 and raised in Greenfield, MA. He graduated from Mt. Hermon Preparatory School in Northfield, MA and Trinity College in Connecticut, where he was a star athlete in three varsity sports. Ron had been a resident of Palm Beach Gardens for 32 years. A devout Christian, he taught numerous Bible studies and Sunday school classes, and was a member of The Family Church in Jupiter. Ron was one of two children born to Chester Martin and the current Joan Bourne. He was Kathleen Martin's beloved husband for 42 years and the love of her life. Ron will forever be remembered by his wife; children, Leah Nelson, Laurie Hodges and Lindsey Kesler and their husbands (whom he dearly loved as well), eight treasured grandchildren; sister, Anne Cade, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him. Ron loved studying God's word, playing golf or any sport, laughing, and being with his family. He was a Vice President of Investments at PMK Securities and Research. He touched the lives of many people with his faith, smile, generosity, and infectious personality and maintained his trademark sense of humor until the day he passed on. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 717 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to either the American Heart Association or Alliance Defense Fund, 15100 N. 90th Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85260. Dear Kathy and family,
I was deeply saddened to hear just today of Ron's passing. He was a wonderful guy and I am sorry I didn't get him to Bar Harbor for a round of golf. Needless to say, both my brother and I looked forward to seeing him when visiting West Palm- he was always so full of life. Our loss is the Lords gain, Praise God for sharing Ron with so many people. I grew up with Ron in Greenfield, Ma. we played ball in the streets at night, had swings in the woods, made go carts, lots of fun times. Dearest Kathy and family,
We just learned of Ron's sudden home going from Gibc last Sunday. Steve said that Ron and you were always so kind to him, and though I didn't know you both as long, you made me feel accepted and loved right away. Thank you loving God so much that His life is evident in yours. May He remain strong in you until you are reunited in Heaven.

Kathy and Family...your warmth, love and courage in sharing are an inspiration to all who were at Ron's service...we shared many a vicious tennis match at Loggerhead and Gardens...the competiion was fierce and exhausting BUT we always had oxygen to share and care for our family times...Ron was one in a million who sincerely cared for and took an interest in family...he truly epitomized the word life of Jesus...for this we are all blessed that our live paths intersected with Ron Martin and his Family...God Bless All....Don and Eileen Smith

Kathy, Leah, Laurie, Lindsey, and grandchildren: I am truly sorry to hear about Ron's passing. We know he is with the Lord at this time. I remember the times I spent with Ron as he was a parent and I was the coach of his wonderful daughters. He was very encouraging to me when I was a coach. He will be missed, but remembered as a wonderful, giving family man. I am so sorry I am out of town and will miss the service for him. Know that I am with the whole family in spirit and prayer. Kathy, I truly wish there was some way or some words that could ease your deep pain. I know only our loving Father can heal this hurt. Please know I am lifting you and your family to Him and praying for His peace to surround you and comfort you. Ron's kindness, encouragement, conviction and love for Jesus encompassed his daily life and will forever be a testament to who he was as a child of God, a husband , a father and a friend.
