Samuel Allas Obituary

Family-Placed Obituary

SAMUEL ALLAS (ALTIS USKO) Samuel (Altis Usko) Allas aged 72 of Lake Worth, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 26 at 6:40 PM at Heavenly Born. At his bedside was his only child, Natasha Allas Croxall and her husband, Douglas Brent Croxall. Natasha (36 years) and Doug (41 years) live with their three children, Ava (6 years), Gavin (4 years), and Charles (8 months) in Brentwood, CA. Natasha and her family arrived in time to have Sam's grandchildren spend time with "Grandpa Sam" before he passed away. Also traveling from California to be with Sam was his first wife, Leila Dunlevie. Sam, a native of Finland, moved to New York City, NY in 1962 and worked for the Vanderbilt Family. Upon arriving in the United States, Sam met Leila Nieminen and eventually married her in 1965. They moved to Hawaii and gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Natasha Heather Allas on April 6, 1974. Sam also spent time in the US Air Force as a Captain and Pilot during the Viet Nam War. Sam was an incredibly intelligent man and knew more about aircraft and automobiles than the men and corporations that built them. Sam's daughter, Natasha, will continue to keep the memory of Sam and his life alive, as will his grandson, Charles Shepard "Shep" Croxall who has the exact same blue eyes that Sam did. Sam will join many of his family members and dear friends in Heaven, as well as Doug and Natasha's daughter, Mary (twin to Charles Shepard), who died just prior to childbirth December 24, 2009. A Memorial Service is planned for Sunday, August 29 at Noon to be held at the All County Funeral Home located at 1107 Lake Avenue, Lake Worth, FL 33460, phone 561-533-8878.
