Thomas FOLEY Obituary
Thomas J. Foley, 73, of West Nyack, NY and Jupiter, FL, passed away on August 5, 2016 surrounded by his family after a valiant battle with leukemia. Beloved husband of the late Patricia. Loving father of Joanne Foley Gross, Daniel Foley, and the late Thomas Foley. Dear father-in-law of KC Gross and Carrie Foley. Cherished grandfather of Casey, Cody and McKenna Gross, Erin, Kiera, Brianne, Kendall, and Thomas "TJ" Foley. Dear brother of Maureen (Dennis) O'Keefe, and Regina Keely. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family both here and in Ireland. Tom was born in the Inwood section of Manhattan on March 26, 1943 to the late James and Mary Egan Foley. He was a foreman on the New York City Sanitation Department, retiring in 1987. He and his wife Pat also owned and operated two businesses, Tim's Parking Lot Specialists and King Kone. The family will receive friends at the SORCE FUNERAL HOME, WEST NYACK, NY Saturday, August 6 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM and Sunday, August 7 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August at 11:30AM at St. Anthony's Church, Nanuet, NY. Interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute to the CFOS/FF Thomas J. Tom was our neighbor in Jupiter. We will remember him as warm, friendly, generous, and a genuine human being. We will miss his broad smile and gregarious nature. Our community in Jupiter has lost our true friend. May God's comfort and blessing be with Tom's family through this difficult time.
