Travis GAY Obituary
Travis John Gay, born February 26, 1994 passed away suddenly as the result of a motor vehicle accident on November 29, 2014. He was 20 years old. Travis is preceded in death by his father Brian Gay, and his uncle Joe Dougherty. Travis is survived by his mother Barbara Gay, his sister Melissa Salerno and brother-in-law Marco Salerno, and his niece Caia Salerno. A celebration of his life will be held at Del Lago Chapel in Lake Worth on Wednesday December 3, 2014 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to M.A.D.D at [email protected]

Trav, you are the missing piece of the puzzle of life for your family and friends. Caia's 5th birthday, Marco's 40th birthday, 4th of July, all came within a week, and your presence was missed deeply by your loved ones. Your Mom is one super strong lady, but you already know that. Your family misses you every bit as much today, as the day you were taken from them.

I would like to thank everyone for their kind words. I am Travis' mother and devastated as is our entire family. I appreciate the efforts of the people who came out of their homes and tried to help my son. Our hearts are forever broken. I will be bringing a picture of Travis to the crash seen and placing it on the tree, so you can see what the beautiful boy you tried to save looked like in hopes it may bring you some closure.

So sorry for your loss and that I wasn't able to help. We heard the accident as it was right beside our home and immediately ran outside to help as did many others, but it was impossible..Think about it every day still. As a parent with two small children, my heart goes out to you and your family.

I went to school with Travis from Crystal Lakes all the way to Park Vista graduating class of 2014. Although I can't say that I was a close friend of his I can say my heart goes out to all of my classmates and his family. I am extremely saddened for you & your families loss. As I did not know your Son Travis, this horrific accident happened in my neighborhood. My husband ran to their rescue and is just completely torn he could not get to him. He came home in tears. I can only hope prayer and our lord above will help you through this. No one ever wants to lose a child or anyone for that matter. God Bless you and your family during this difficult time.

My heart is breaking for your family, a family I never knew. I was one of the first people at the scene, and I did everything in my will to help. When we realized what happened, and that we were unable to do anything further, I dropped to my knees and prayed. I prayed over the car, for God to be with Travis. I prayed for over an hour only feet from the accident, and asked for angels for Travis and his family. I pray that you find peace and healing, and will always have your family in my heart! I held a prayer circle on Sunday and was amazed that more than 60 people came. It was such a beautiful moment. Travis sounds like such an incredible person, and you can rest knowing that he left a great impact on many people! Know that you are in my prayers, and on my mind! God bless you and your family!
