Larry Ennis Obituary
LARRY KENNETH ENNIS
"Joker" Larry Kenneth Ennis, 73, of Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away on August 17, 2025. He was born January 14, 1952, in Mineral Wells, Texas.
Joker grew up in Mineral Wells. He had a love for golf, rodeos, and racecar driving. He was a sports enthusiast and could do just about anything he picked up. He moved to Oklahoma in the '90s, but made sure folks knew where he came from and his love for the Texas Longhorns.Â
On January 7, 2005, he married the love of his life, Tina. Together, they shared 20+ wonderful years filled with children and grandchildren. Becoming a father and grandfather later in life was one of his proudest accomplishments, whether it was ball games, school pick-ups, family dinners, vacations, or simply cheering on the "kids" in everything they did.
Joker worked as a butcher at Clinks Grocery Store for 26 years, known for both his good cuts of meat and his easy conversation.Â
Outside of work, Joker was the kind of man who never hesitated to help a friend on the farm or lend a hand whenever someone needed it. After retirement, you could find him on the golf course most days, but just as often, he was at the local bar, enjoying a cold beer, swapping stories, and soaking up the company of good friends, the things he loved most.Â
He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Joker's faith in Jesus never wavered, and he looked forward to being with family and friends who had gone to be with the Lord before him.
He is survived by his wife Tina Ennis, of Hobart, OK, his children, Trent Russ & wife, Alisa, Sentinel, OK; Tyler Russ & wife, Britney, Hobart, OK; Taylor Selman & husband, Ryan, Oklahoma City, OK, grandchildren, Andrew, Gillian, Hadley, and Bexley Russ, one great-grandchild: Alaric Russ His four sisters: Rita Schwartz, Jodie Straub, Bobbie Guynup, and Kim Muncy.
