Patsy Harmon Obituary

PATSY CLYDENE TREADWAY HARMON Patsy Clydene Treadway Harmon, 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 27, 2025, in her home in Mineral Wells, Texas. "You were the sun, the matriarch. Everyone orbited around you, and you gave life. Occasionally eclipsed by pain or worries and Always Showing Up on time for others to feel your warmth. You were my best friend." Born on March 7, 1947, in Midland, Texas, the daughter of Clyde Wesley Treadway and Vera Iva Glynn McNeese Treadway. As the eldest child in her family, she learned from an early age how to connect with, care for, and entertain those less able and more vulnerable than her; especially children. Married to Jimmy Albert Harmon on April 24, 1961, they built a home filled with children, Jimmy Clyde Harmon, Suzanna Lynn Harmon, Wendy Glynn Harmon, Brandy Clydene Harmon, and many beloved pets. She was kind and loving, with a heart for caring deeply for others. Fiercely loyal to her family, she also welcomed many beyond it into her home with open arms. She was called "Mom" nearly all her life and was most famously known as "Memaw." She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Albert Harmon; children, Jimmy Clyde (Stacy Dawn) Harmon, Suzanna Lynn (David Wayne Golden), Wendy Glynn Harmon, and Brandy Clydene (Travis Daniel Clegg); grandchildren, Clayton Wesley (April) Harmon, Misty Dawn (Matthew Kelton), Chase Stewart Harmon, Amanda Lynn (Moises Duke), Jake Wayne (Cathryn) Golden, Myka Albert (Jessica) Wallace, Charles Hunter (Nancy) Golden, Candace Lorraine (Kyle Evans), Jesse Crayson Wallace, Zanna Grace Clegg, Turner Daniel Clegg, Reagan Travis Clegg, and Briley Dene Clegg; and great-grandchildren, Banner Ray Harmon, Jax Dane Harmon, Olivia Belle Kelton, Audrey Nell Kelton, Roan Wesley Harmon, Henry Wayne Golden, Zahara Lynn Duke Golden, Daphne Luella Wallace, Lillian Blake Kelton, Caroline Leota Golden, Scarlett Wallace, Caleb Samuel Kelton, Dakota Francis Duke Golden, Jack David Golden, Allie Jean Evans; her sister, Lois Lavon Treadway and Skyler Renee Treadway; her brother, Troy Keith Treadway, Rene Kevin Austin, Leah Leonard Randle, Mona Maxwell, Camille Komathy, her friends at the American Legion; and many more dear friends and extended family. She has been welcomed with open arms on the other side by her parents, Clyde Wesley Treadway and Vera Iva Glynn McNeese Treadway, her brother James Jack "Jackie" Treadway, Vera Mae "Hamburger Mamaw" Thurman, George Beecher Treadway, Louisa Mae Perkins Treadway, baby Autumn Vestal, John Wayne, and Elvis Presley. Everything she determined to do she did very well. She was mostly determined to love others. She was creative and playful, a craftswoman and an artist. She felt deeply loved without question or judgment. Patsy will be dearly missed by those who knew her and loved her. She spent her life investing in others and left a legacy of love and strength. Celebration of Life Services was held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home, 302 W. Hubbard in Mineral Wells, Texas.
