Daniel Robles Leivas Obituary

Daniel Robles Leivas, 80, passed away on July 23, 2025, in Palm Springs, CA. Born on April 15, 1945, Daniel was reputed for his jovial spirit, always lighting up the room with his smile and laughter. His kind-hearted and generous nature was complimented by his immense talent both as a musician and a craftsman, skilled in carpentry and bricklaying.
A proud alumnus of Palo Verde High School, Daniel's passion for music saw him mastering various instruments including the accordian, trumpet, and bajo sexto. Over the years, he enjoyed a vibrant career playing in bands, sharing his love for music with many.
Daniel's joy in life was further enriched by his large and loving family. He is survived by his siblings Manuel R. Leivas, Dahlia L. Empante, and Lupe L. Pereira, his children Rosenda, Angel, Manuel, and Annette Leivas, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Manuel R. and Rosenda Leivas, siblings Irene Choumas, Helen Rose, Norma Abella, Ralph Blas, Alma Leivas, and children Irene, Ronald, and Daniel Leivas Jr.
A service to celebrate Daniel's life will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Blythe, CA at 10am, with a reception to follow at the American Legion Hall on Friday, August 8th. Daniel's life was a melody of joy, generosity, and love, a tune that will resonate in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
