My dear Aunt Doris I will miss you so much.!! You made my Uncle Al so very happy. What a blessing you were. I know you are both together forever now.
You were always there for me especially when my mom died.
Your smile and generously will always be with me where ever I go.
I will miss you so much but cherish the times we had together and your smile and wisdom and laughter.
Rest In Peace my beloved Doris. You will always be with me. Much Love and thank you for being in my life. Susan Morgan
Helen Stewart & family. Kelowna BC Canada

It´s on behalf of my Mom, Helen Stewart, that we send Doris´s extended family our most sincere condolences.
Jim & Helen moved to Blythe in the early 50´s, Mom worked with Doris at the dealership & they all attended church together. Doris even sat up all night with Dad while their first child was slow in making an appearance.
After leaving Blythe they stayed lifelong, long distance friends, even after moving to Canada.
It was a happy occasion when Dad´s boyhood buddy, Lee Richards became reacquainted with Mom´s dear friend Doris, they married and spent Lee´s last years happily together. She took such good care of him.
It was for Mom´s 92 birthday today that we were trying to contact Doris, that we found her obituary. So instead, she is spending the day reminiscing about happier times and her very good friend Doris, the kind and giving person she was.

I never saw Doris without a smile on her face. She was a sweet, God loving Lady.

Doris and Al "adopted" my family when we moved to Blythe in 1972. They baby sat our two boys when my wife went to the hospital to deliver our daughter. She taught our Sunday School class at 1st Baptist. Their freezer at the Carnation plant was always open to us for their great ice cream. Our stay in Blythe was much better as a result of our friendship with Doris and Al. She was a great lady and friend.
