Howard Chambers Obituary
He was born in Lindsay, Oklahoma on October 29, 1936, to parents Lynnie Mae Hamilton Chambers and Alvin Howard Benjamin Chambers.
He was 12 when his family moved to Blythe in 1949. He graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1955.
Howard was married to Norma Louise Nelson from November 28, 1959, until her death on September 1, 2014.
His son, Jody Lynn Chambers, daughter Rorie Leigh Chambers; five grandchildren, Sarah Christine Chambers, Ashleigh Rae Chambers, Jacob Lynn Chambers, Zane Christopher Joneson, and Chandler Reid Joneson; sisters Phyllis Gwen Chambers Smith and Darleta Belle Chambers Jalkh; and brothers Benny Calvin Chambers and Danny Alvin Chambers, survives him.
His father and mother, sister Jewell Evelyn Chambers Owens, and wife Norma Louise Nelson Chambers preceded him in death.
Howard was Assistant Vice President of the Blythe branch of United California Bank, later First Interstate Bank, until he retired and went to work for the City of Blythe Parks Department. He was very active over the years in the Blythe community. He served as a board member for several local service clubs including Blythe Jaycees, Blythe Rotary Club, Blythe Chapter of the United Way Allocation Board, and the Palo Verde Healthcare District.
A small family gathering commemorated Howard's life on May 13, 2018 in Blythe at the site of his wife Norma's childhood home.

I knew Howard, he was a man with great integrity, unwavering strength and a zest for life that made him both a fierce man and a man full of life. I'll miss him, my condolences to my ex-wife Rorie Leigh Chambers and her family during this difficult time.
