Susan Nelson Obituary

Some people only walk this earth for a short time; Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. On August 23, 2021, Susan Nelson, 57 rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings. There will never be another person like her.

Susan was born in El Paso, Texas, and subsequently moved to Ehrenberg, Arizona in the 7th grade. Susan loved fishing, she fished from the time when she was a little girl with her dad. Susan had a golden tongue, she could talk to anyone, anywhere about anything. Inspiring her nickname Gabby, She had a vivacious personality and always made the people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went. Susan had a zest for life.

Susan is survived by her two sons Westin (Susan) and Adam (Shelly) Nelson, her husband of over 36 years Dwayne Nelson, as well as surviving family members and friends: Jackie Nelson Glenna Nelson, Mellony (Rick) Downes, Jackie David Nelson, Erika (Joe) Hyak, Samantha (Steven) VanSickle, and Mellony (Rick) Downes.

Susan was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Harold Shorty Stratman and Tressie Glenda Stratman. Additionally, her mother-in-law Starr Nelson.
