When I think of Mr. Weintraub, I think of a man who was happy and contented with his life. He was always on top of his game professionally, and he was a devoted family man who was grounded in his faith. He had kindness in his eyes always.
That is not just a testament his life, but also to those whose entertwined with his. Family is everything. I last saw him at a colleague's funeral at Holy Trinity. When I touched him on his shoulder, he lit up with a smile that just made me feel happy too. I'm so glad to have known him. My sympathy to all.

When I was a senior in high school (1974-1975), I had the opportunity to spend a day at a work place I was interested in working to learn a little hands on training on the career I was interested in. I had the opportunity to work in Mr. Weintraub's law office. That particular day his secretary went home sick so I was able to spend a few hours as his legal secretary. I loved it and was a legal secretary for many years. He was a very patient man. I got to know him after graduating while working as an associate judge's secretary. He remembered me when I saw him while working at the McLean County Court House. He was kind hearted and faught for the rights of his clients.
