Alice Fulks Obituary
June 21, 1954 - October 18, 2025
Alice A. Fulks, 71 of Downs, Illinois passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
Alice's visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 2-4pm at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. Services will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 12noon at the funeral home, with Pastor Allen Miller officiating. Following the service burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery, Downs.
The family suggests memorials to be made to the American Cancer Society.
Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, Illinois is assisting the family with arrangements.
Alice was born in Streator, Illinois on June 21, 1954, the daughter of Clifford and Dorothy (Fialko) Leininger. She married David Fulks on December 17, 1977, in Downs, Illinois.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years and their children: Dustin (Jenny) Fulks, Bloomington; and Bailey Fulks, Downs along with her 2 grandchildren: Charlotte and Grace Fulks. Also surviving are her brothers: Bob (Dee) Leininger, Streator; Don Leininger, Arizona; and Richard Leininger, Streator. She is preceded by her parents and 2 sisters: Diane and Betty.
She is a graduate of Streator Township High School. She worked as a secretary for Nussbaum Trucking and later at State Farm Insurance company retiring in 2017.
Alice enjoyed putting puzzles together, but she mostly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Alice will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her.

I worked with Alice at State Farm in the Group Medical Department and remember her as very kind and hard working and always a pleasure to be with each day.
